I Love and use Andrew's books whenever I go to Hawaii. They are beautifully written and easy to use. I have found all the places I wanted to go easily and found the descriptions to be accurate and helpful.

This book is one of the better travel guides I seen. The information is exactly what a normal vacationer wants to see.

This book was very detailed and a great help on Kauai. We got the 2006 edition, so one or two of the restaurants that were reviewed weren't open anymore, but we agreed with their reviews of the restaurants we went to. My only complaint, and this is a big one for me, is that there was no information on where to get medical attention if you get sick on the island. I would absolutely buy this guide for other islands we visit in the future.
great guidebook for my favorite vacation destination October 15, 2008
I have nothing but good things to say about this series. The maps (so many of them!) are much easier to use than most others, because of the topographic shading. The trail maps are detailed, and mile markers on the road maps are a great help. The layout is very handy, with sights arranged in the order you would encounter them geographically. Lots of good photos, since so many places can't be adequately described with words. It's kind of funny to find an amazing place with hardly any other people around, but then to notice the other people usually are carrying this same book!
