5 out of 5 stars Like having a personal guide   June 13, 2008
My family and I found this book very helpful on our vacation to Walt Disney World. We used it to find a place to stay, make restaurant reservations and make our daily plans. The wealth of photos, the crisp writing and the many helpful tips all make the book a pleasure to read.

5 out of 5 stars More than a guidebook   June 12, 2008
If you haven't seen this book in the stores and are a Disney fan, you should know that it is unlike any other travel guide out there. There's so much more in here than just travel stuff, many of the pages are like a Everything You've Ever Wanted to Know About Disney World But Are Afraid To Ask. There's a whole introduction to Disney, with its history and cartoon characters and such. The big rides are covered by ARTICLES, not paragraphs. It's kind of what you'd expect to find in a hardback book, except with all the tips and ride specifications too like a good travel guide would have. From a pure travel standpoint, I really liked all the resort information and restaurant reviews. Very very helpful, and a book you will read more than once.

5 out of 5 stars So much detail   June 12, 2008
Outstanding! This book is filled with all the juicy little tidbits that so many books leave out. You can tell that the authors understand Disney World and know how to enjoy it.

5 out of 5 stars The BEST Disney Book   June 9, 2008
I bought this book in order to have more information for planning my honeymoon. I have been to Disney 3 times already and this book has still been incredibly helpful. It gives detailed information on EVERY ride so you can know what you want to do while in the parks. It gives information on planning your trip. Detailed information on all the resorts on Disney property and quite a few off property. Detailed information on the restaurants. The pictures are amazing. Sometimes it gives too much information like step by step what will happen on the rides, but this has been useful to an extent when discussing what to do with my fiance since he has never been. I would highly recommend this book for anyone going to disney world.

2 out of 5 stars Beautiful pictures; not very helpful for decisions & planning   May 30, 2008
4 out of 6 found this review helpful

To me, this book feels like a glorified Disney brochure. It has many, many beautiful pictures -- but that's pretty much the only positive thing I have to say about it. We wanted a useful travel guide, and we are extremely disappointed. We were hoping for something (like our old Unofficial Guide; I guess we'll buy a new one!) that would help us with making decisions on hotels, how to plan our days, how to deal with situations that come up with a toddler, etc. Skimming through this book, the tone feels almost like it was written by Disney to promote the parks (maybe the authors just love Disneyworld that much?). Sorry, but if you're looking for more candid help on planning, I wouldn't recommend this one.
