An Adventure Story March 28, 2002 Jack and Annie find a magic tree house in their backyard and it takes them back to China. There, a powerful Dragon King appeared and tried to get them, but Jack and Annie hopped in a cart and if you want to know what happened, READ THIS BOOK!
A pretty good Magic Tree House book November 20, 2001 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
This book is where Jack and Annie go back to Japan where they meet the first king, the Dragon-King. A lot of people are worried because the Dragon-King is going to burn all the books that he finds. It's kind of scary, but mostly action-packed when Jack and Annie try to save the books. I highly reccomend this book to all fans, wether your a big fan or not.
A Great Time Travel Adventure July 27, 2001 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Mary Pope Osborne has created a magical tale around her Master Librarians. Jack and Annie must travel back in time to save at least one bamboo book from the emperor's bonfire. The emperor is afraid that books are a threat to his power. During their adventure, Jack and Annie interact with characters from an ancient Chinese legend and observe history as it is happening. Jack describes many authentic Chinese artifacts and habits. These tidbits of Chinese hisory stimulate a desire to learn more about the Chinese culture. This easy-to-read tale will captivate children from ages six through twelve who wish to enjoy a good story and get a small dose of Chinese history.

I like the Magic Treehouse series because I have read all the books in the series! It is a good story because it is very interesting and exciting. I didn't think Jack and Annie could get the bamboo book and they did. I am six.
